Rising Up: The 2024 DNC's Call for Joy, Hope, and Freedom

After a decade of struggle, what we’ve been fighting for is now on full display at this year’s Democratic National Convention. The values of Joy, Authenticity, Hope, and Freedom are not just words but the heartbeat of our collective vision.

JOY. AUTHENTICITY. HOPE. FREEDOM.

These aren’t just ideals; they represent our recognition of each other's worth. Together, we harness our collective energy—our joyous, people-powered strength—to bring our dreams into reality.

We’ve witnessed a remarkable convergence of musicians, poets, comedians, artists, lawyers, presidents and veterans from past and present, joining forces to create a new, shared experience. This experience is ours. We own it.

After nearly ten years of pushing back, we are now pushing forward, shaping the future we want to live in—a future where our children, grandchildren, and generations to come can truly be free.

We’ve learned that hope endures, even in the most unimaginable circumstances. And we will be known for choosing to rise up because we understood that now is the time.

of a just and fertile world.

We are the men
who honor women.

We are the subject,
scorned and battered yet unafraid.

We are the disenfranchised,
poor and hungry, not hating.

Rise up,
We are the Beloved Community,
brilliantly diverse and bold.

Rise up,
We are the future leaders,
Gen Z to infinity.

Rise up,
We are the Earth-keepers,
calling all planetary healers.

Rise up,
