How to Penetrate Society’s Strongholds?

You might recall, I’m that brand-new section of Radically Relevant, dedicated to helping us all make the best out of life.
What I’m eager to chirp about today is this: how you and I can get better—together.
I like to say things in a variety of ways: sometimes through poetry, sometimes through music, sometimes by writing essays or simply having a face-to-face conversation. Often, it’s a collage of all these methods that makes our time together so valuable.
Little Bird seems a bit like Mrs. Doubtfire trying to put out the flaming oven—or like you, just doing their best to move life forward, overcoming hurdles, or in my case, flying from tree to tree in search of new friends and a delicious dinner.
Sometimes it feels like society—or its mechanisms—puts barriers in our way. At the very least, the way we communicate with one another can be divisive or aggressive. But we can change that. I truly believe we will.
Why? Because I believe in us.
So, how do we penetrate society’s strongholds?
We certainly can’t combat division with fear.
So we must:
Bypass it with beauty.
Disarm it with curiosity.
Infiltrate it with empathy.
In time, we can move the needle—from mere observation to deeper experience. Eventually, our individual practice becomes participatory within our communities. We build unity. We cultivate genuine concern and care for all our families and neighbors.
So just for today, let’s create something beautiful.
Let’s get curious about each other—the unique ways we live—and let’s allow our inner voices not just to be heard, but to be known.
Together, we make more sense—common sense, as they say.
