Still a fighter, I’ll never stop fighting—but learning, yes, learning to do it in ways that are less harmful, more effective, and efficient, is my greatest goal.
Learning to accept that people come and go. Family, friends, or foes arrive wrapped in plain, simple, enticing, or even elaborate packages. We must unwrap them to discover the gifts beneath their decoration.
My vision for the world is simple: to look at no one with disdain, contempt, or a thirst for retribution. The world I speak of values all who walk side by side. Together, we ascend mountains and fall into valleys. Together, we stand on the highest peaks to witness the most spectacular sunsets and sunrises.
I’m a fighter because I see strength in the solid grip of a friend or a stranger. In places where a simple "hello" invites connection. In a word that offers a chair, welcoming us to sit and join the conversation.
I’m a fighter who makes mistakes—a warrior striving for justice through peace, cultivating and polishing a jewel of humanity with steadfast care. A clean, orderly heart is the fighter’s most powerful tool.
As we journey through life, we find one another—opening and closing chapters, stretching new canvases, cleansing our palettes, and awakening to the realization that each new day is another way to begin again.
