The Great Healing came upon us.
People of the Blue Planet, as we are commonly called, learned over time from the shamans of the Blue Planet’s indigenous lands —to listen well.
“Listen to the sounds of the natural world.” They said.
The healing came like rains from the forest, crystalline tears. The shaman’s knowledge offered the gift of transformation. It was in the music of plant and animal life that we found the answer to cancer and so many other disorders and diseases that had struck the Blue Planet. Earth knowledge had for too long been misplaced, forgotten —unheard. That was the only reason so many had suffered.
The Great Healing came when we understood our part in tuning into the frequency of the natural world, like that of radio or radar. Tuning in…maybe like how the James Webb Space Telescope did, with its’ million working pieces —all moving together to provide a bigger picture. But for us it wasn’t a snapshot of space, but of our humanity’s course correction off the path of self destruction and back onto a road toward a sustainable civilization.
Pieces of information came from all lands, and maybe space too. South America, Madagascar, Kyoto, even Antarctica —from all around the world people began walking side by side in balance. We learned from trade and craft, musician and artist, scientist and astrophysicist. Everyone brought their piece to the Great Healing, from concept to formula, table, graph even poem.
Creatives and curatives and imaginative’s alike nurtured life the way life had directed us to.
For the art of the Great Healing as taught to us by the shamans, meant allowing the heart to flow through the data, discerning the patterns, hearing the music, and bridging the gaps —releasing the frozen pieces that kept us stuck.
It’s not that the modern ways were wrong. Just that the success of technology and wellbeing became woven into too few baskets while the remainder of the natural living planet, shamans and children, kept calling:
“We are here, can you hear, we are here, can you hear, we are here, can you hear?”
They kept singing out:
“We are the people of the planet of which her music is our healing. Lift your spirits, let them soar, see the path lighted for the ancient ones restored.”
And the forgotten people of the Blue Planet continued for a very long time:
“There is no boundary, there is no shore. We are the ocean, of moments after and before. We are everything, frozen into crystals, thaw the hatred, melt the fear.”
And the people kept chanting until all of humanity could hear them:
Finally, one day in a piercing clear voice a little girl stood up “Everything you need is in the patterns and in the numbers, in your feelings and in our prayer.” She said.
The prayer the little girl spoke of was the same prayer we knew for millennia in many forms, many languages, many words, and even in different interpretations. It was our one prayer with universal meaning —the prayer of love. And that is the story of how the Great Healing restored the Blue Planet’s balance.
Postscript: The little girl grew up to become a courageous and daring intergalactic school teacher. Her name is Valentina.
